The Tate Gallery in St. Ives, Cornwall
The Tate

At the start of March we went in search of art and inspiration. Looking out to 'The Island' and Porthmeor beach in the winter is a fantastic sight to behold. Joggers running along the sand, dogs enjoying their winter beach explorations with their owners. The gulls standing out as white lines against a blue and grey backdrop. Sitting in Porthmeor Beach Cafe, we enjoyed a tasty roasted red pepper and tomato soup before heading up to The Tate.

After a yummy lunch break we headed up to look at the new exhibition...

Naum Gabo Exhibition at the Tate Gallery

The Tate is brilliant to visit for inspiration and to find out why St. Ives is such a buzzing hub for artists. You can check what exhibitions they have on here.

Gabo's sculptures were fascinating considering the time he lived in. The intricate details and the shapes and angles that he used, the way he used different materials like nylon strings. I have always admired patterns and reflections. If you paid attention to the reflections on the glass, you could see shapes every where. It was a great visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Bravo Gabo!
